Bob is a Senior Technical Program Manager at the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), where he works to streamline processes, puts into practice projects aimed at connecting users and maintainers, and finds ways to surface the value of open source. Before this, Bob was an OSS Program Manager at Google’s Open Source Program Office, focusing on open source strategy. He’s been a Kubernetes contributor since 2016 and serves the project on its Steering Committee. Bob comes from an academic background, having spent 15 years at the University of Michigan, with a later focus on computational research. He is passionate about Academic Outreach and is an outspoken advocate of Open Source, Open Science, and pets of the furry 4-legged variety.
